6 Website Optimization Tips below are intended to help you increase your Search Engine Ranking. Through our years of Professional Search Engine Submission we have compiled these simple techniques that will make your submission efforts worthwhile. These Tips are what other companies Charge you for when they say "Search Engine Optimization."

These tips are not all required and some sites will do just fine without using them but if you see your Search Engine Rankings dropping then start adding them. With our Search Engine Submission services and help you will see the results of your improvements within days.

#1 Buy A Website Domain Name:
Search Engines Hate Sub-domains and they HATE those long domains where your URL is something like www.yourgolfsite.com/affiliate/1002992. Even worse are Free Hosting services!
Don't count on Ever seeing it in the engines! Try our
Hosting.

Buy a Domain! Build a main page with a nice design that includes all of the tips on this page. To buy a domain for under $10yr we recommend GoDaddy.com. Your main page would have all the pages listed linking into your affiliate program. Thus giving you control of adding the Meta Tags and content for search engine submission! We call them "mini-sites"

Tip:
Try to buy a short Domain Name that uses your keywords! Your site will always come up in results (provided you have been submitted) if the people searching are using those exact words!

#2 Web Site Meta Tags:
It is true that few engines rely solely on Meta tags now, but having them in your site will not hurt your ranking and some engines Do use them. Don't rule out any possible traffic!

Your Title tag is used in the results when someone does a search for your topic as is your Description tag. Both the Title and Description tags are important to you because this is Your chance to present a Compelling reason for the person that is searching to Click your link. This is Your Ad!

Tip:
Use HTML Comment line in the Head tag section of your site to include keywords. The Comment lines have generally been reserved for the site designer to leave notes for him or herself But you can utilize those also. These are not seen by the public viewing your site but are seen by the engines! Place it below your Title and Description and Keyword tags within the Head tags. Remember, Don't do this to many times! Once is enough! Example:

#3 Web Site Keywords:
When writing the content in your pages use your keywords Often in your sentence structure! This is known as "Keyword Weight" and this is how your ranking is determined in large part. It will show the engines that you are a Relevant site to the search term that was used by the person searching.

Example: "We are the largest Golf product suppliers in the USA. Helping Golfers get what they need at the best prices. Started in 1876, Golfing has been one of the most popular sports........." Doesn't have to say it in every sentence but use it often specially in top 250 to 500 words of your page!

WARNING:
DO NOT just make all your content "golfing with golfers is great for golf" blah blah blah, That Is considered spamming if you do that and will get your site Banned from the Search Engines! It Must read as a normal person would Say it out loud!

Tip:
Use your web site keywords in full sentences that make sense in your Headings 1, 2 and 3. H1, H2, H3 tags in content HTML area. NOT in Head Tags. The engines put more weight on these spaces and the words in them.

#4 Website ALT Tags:
ALT Tags are the text Under any graphics on your site.

Tip:
Tell your designer to include Alt Tags if you are having the site built! Alt tags can have short descriptions about your site and the Search Engines see that! Just put your mouse over a graphic on a website to see those! (try the pitcures on this page)

#5 Website Page Names ie. File Names:
This one goes to how you name your pages when you FTP your site.

Example:
www.yourgolfsite.com/golfproducts is Far better then www.yourgolfsite.com/products beacuse you are trying to use your keywords!

#6 Popularity Ranking:
Links to your site are a "Good thing." Links to your site make you look popular in the Search Engine's eyes (Popularity Ranking), But be careful Who you ask to link to you! If their site doesn't look good and isn't doing well in the engines don't waste your time. If they are doing good.......Go get em! Send them an email asking. Offer to put their link on your site. i.e. Reciprocal Linking.

Tip:
No Dead links on your site! Check your site often for links that aren't working properly and get the bad ones Off your site! The engines will see the bad links and ditch you.

WARNING:
Don't bother submitting to FFAs (Free For Alls.) They are useless! The engines know better! I know! I Know! It seems so easy! BUT the FFAs only collect your information so they can spam you to death later. Ask yourself...."When was the last time I used an FFA page to find what I wanted?" You didn't. You used a Search Engine.
